Spades
Spades is a card game for four players, divided into two teams of two. The goal is to win a specific number of tricks, as declared at the beginning of each round. The game uses a 52-card deck, and Spades are always the trump suit, beating any other suit. Strategy is essential, requiring collaboration with your partner and anticipating your opponents’ moves.
How to play Spades?
The game is played clockwise. At the start, each player is dealt 13 cards. Players bid the number of tricks they aim to win during the round. The bids of teammates are added together, forming the team's goal. You can also declare Nil, attempting to win no tricks, which rewards extra points if successful but penalizes you if you fail. Blind Nil allows you to make this declaration before seeing your cards. Players must follow the suit led by the first player in each trick unless they have none of that suit, in which case they can play any card, including a Spade. Spades are trumps and beat all other suits but can only be played after they are "broken," meaning a Spade has already been played in the game. The game ends when one team reaches 500 points.
